I have just been in contact with Bang & Olufsen support regarding question if Beosound Core supports Deezer HIFI subscription, FLAC format (16-bit, 1,411 Kbps). I received following answer: ' The built-in Deezer app on the Bang & Olufsen application only supports normal Deezer however via the Deezer app you can stream Hifi using Airplay 2. Deezer advertises this Hifi service works on Chromecast, well it does not, it buffers, clips, stops responding, losses connection, etc, there are thousands of threads of people complaining about this for the past few years, Deezer still could not get their streaming over Chromecast to work. I cancelled my subs today and am looking at other options. Deezer Premium is 320kbps MP3, whereas Deezer Hi-Fi is 1411 kbps FLAC. If it were 320kbps AAC or Ogg Vorbis versus FLAC, then I'd say you could not tell the difference in a blind A/B test. However, MP3 is a different story. MP3 retains some artifacts even at high bit rates. You can train yourself to notice these defects.
